35th Parallel - adventure travel & sports community

35th Parallel is unlike any other adventure tour company - we give travellers an unprecedented level of flexibility and visibility.  We travel in small groups, enabling much more spontaneity and flexibility on our trips.  Secondly, we get you involved in selecting the other travellers in the group.  With most companies you have no say in this at all, but at 35th we provide an online community from which to meet and form groups with other travellers around our trips. 

In a nutshell, our community works like this:

1. Join - become a member of our adventure travel community so that you can interact with like-minded adventurous people around the world
2. Meet - check out trips, meet travellers and start/join a group of people YOU want to travel with!
3. Travel - go on an amazing vacation with people you selected

The name 35th Parallel didn't come about by accident.  Instead it has quite a bit of meaning...

Selecting the right name for this business was not easy.  There are thousands of adventure travel and tour companies out there and I wanted something that would set us apart from the rest.  After going through all the "adventure" names, none of them felt right.  Then one day with the help of my good friend Sam, we decided to take another tack completely and steer away from the norm.

35th Parallel has been a long time in the making.  Over the past 15 years, I've worked in adventure travel in various capacities, ranging from tour guide to owner/operator.  This experience has taught me many things, but above all, it gave me the desire to create my "dream" adventure travel and tour company.  To understand what this means, you need to understand my journey.
