35th Parallel is unlike any other adventure tour company - we give travellers an unprecedented level of flexibility and visibility. We travel in small groups, enabling much more spontaneity and flexibility on our trips. Secondly, we get you involved in selecting the other travellers in the group. With most companies you have no say in this at all, but at 35th we provide an online community from which to meet and form groups with other travellers around our trips.

Why do we do this?
What's the most memorable part of any travel experience? 9 out of 10 travellers will always answer "the people they met". Sure the itinerary, activities and guide are all very important aspects, but the deal breaker for most people is the travellers they're on tour with. This is even more important when the trip is sport based.
If you're an advanced kitesurfer, do you want to be held back on a trip by novices? What if you're into Class V white water kayaking, do you want to go on a trip with people who can't handle anything above Class II? Probably not.

In our community you can search for travellers with similar interests and invite them to join your group trip. Or, you can check out existing groups to see if one suits you, communicate with the group members and if all looks good you're well on your way to an awesome trip!
